And there was light~

Meant to make this entry earlier, but I've been busy with chores with my brother. So what is the light that I'm talking about? The light at the end of the tunnel of course! For my fellow schoolers that have endured over 16 years of studying, punctuated only by 2.5 years of national service, it is about to end. At last we are going to get the thing that we had set out to obtain amost 2 decades ago. That lousy piece of paper that set us back almost 20 grand.

Sometimes I really wonder, is it worth it? But for now, with the schedule for the convocation out, it is like we have finally reached the last stretch of our long journey. My friend (I won't tell other people your name one, 老大！） actually told me that he is not interested in attending his own convocation ceremony and I was frankly quite shocked. Why have we been working so long and hard for? Is it really just for that paper, or is the convocation ceremony part of the final objective?

Frankly speaking, the convocation ceremony is very important to me as I enter NTU as a black horse. I wasn't even sure that I would be able to get into a polytechnic when I was in secondary school. But here I am, doing my last semester in one of the top three universities in Singapore. In case you didn't catch it, there are only 3 Unis locally. Anyway, it is like a fairy tale story for me because if you went back in time and told the primary school me that I would go into a local U and graduate, I will just look and you and laugh until I pissed in my shorts. For me to reach my current achievement, I can only thank one person. My closer friends would know who that person is, and seriously, I wouldn't be here without her. So a big Thank You to her and wish her the best in whatever she does.
