Back from Gyeong Ju

Hey, back from a long trek to Gyeong Ju yesterday. It was fun but very tiring as we made most of the journey on foot. Firstly, planning of the trip was done and I took this picture of the online map just to be sure~ ^^;

Then there was the long long journey ahead. From my motel in Gumi to the bus terminal to the Gyeong Ju terminal took around 2.5 hours. Once we hit Gyeong Ju terminal and stepped out, we were totally lost. Luckily we saw a river to the west, and quickly got our bearing right and started south to the Tumuli Park. 20 mins of walking later, we saw this sight.

Looks like hills right? They are actually tombs of Silla (新罗) kings. How come all kings like big tombs one huh? Anyway, due to the winter, the tombs are all yellowish so not that nice. Summer will be a better time to visit as they will be covered in lush green grass and the weather will be more pleasant.

Anyway, we carried on into the Tumuli Park and took a leisurely stroll... Nothing much there really, just very wide open spaces nia. Think they have lots of space there ah. Came across some weirded looking trees including this tree with the bad hair day.

Then we carried on walking and taking photos and walking for quite some time. Then we came to what could be the first Korean made fridge in the world here.

I look kind of weird and fugly with long hair hor? Anyway, this is a ice storage vault of the Silla empire. I guess the Silla king likes ice kachang or ice ching tng during the summer also. Wahahaha!

Anyway got alot more photos for the Gyeong Ju trip but I'm abit lazy to write more liao. Wahahaha.. Anybody who wana see more photos just leave a comment or send a message to me lah. Ciao
