Legend of the train
Here is a very interesting read : http://www.rinji.tv/densha/
Let me briefly summarise it. It is on a "true life" (I donno how true) story of a japanese nerd, getting to know, fall in love and wooing of a nice gal. The whole story will be a one-sided affair, with the nerd (we call Train) and his many netizen minions/advisors. Honestly speaking, I was quite skeptical when my friend sent me this link lah, but after reading it, it was really not bad~ Very interesting!
Most importantly, it gives nerds like me (& maybe people who read my blog :P) some small hope that our Hermes (the leading lady) is somewhere out there, waiting to be rescued. I think everybody who reads this will have a different image of Hermes in their mind, which could probably be their Princess Perfect!
Anyway, from what I've heard, this has a huge following online, and moi being one of them, can agar agar know why that is the case. Satu-ly, this story is online and most probably accessed by nerds/geeks/whatever u call us. And-the-then, nerds/geeks/etc(NGEs) will forward them to their friends who most probably be NGEs too. And the cycle goes on. Why the NGEs will be so interested in this story is that the star of the story is a NGE! a NGE who is reformed into a somewhat stylish young punk who MIGHT win the pretty babe. basically the dream of most fellow NGEs out there. So all the NGEs out there might be prowling the MRT stations now hoping to find their own Hermes right now..
Okay, so other than the romantic love story, the other thing is the dangerously hilarious antics of the so called advisors of our Mr Train. They deserve an A for their enthusiasm and humor. Sometimes, you will just burst out laughing when u read their simulation of what is going on between Hermes and Train. I know i did! ;P
So I would recommend all you NGEs out there, even though u deny it, to read this piece of work. its looooong but definitely worth spending some time reading it.
i give it a 6 out of 7. Oh my Hermes, where art thou~
