Little incident at a bus stop
Just the other day, when I was on my way home from work, I encountered this little incident.
I was waiting for my bus at a bus stop at Jurong East, and there is this late 20s/early 30s smartly dressed guy (obviously white collared working class) walking towards his girlfriend/wife. An old lady carrying some bags was walking in the opposite direction, and for some reason, at the exact moment their path intersect, the old lady's bag dropped. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he did not bump into the old lady, causing the bag to drop. He took a look at the bag on the ground, and looked at the old lady and actually carried on walking towards his partner. My thought at the moment was, "What the hell?". He did not even had the intention of picking the bag up for the old lady. It was a sad moment for humanity. (okay la, a bit exaggerated la :P)
Soon after, my bus came, and apparently the guy is taking the same bus as me. And there is this old man, whom I suspect just recovered from a stroke as one side of his body seems to be semi paralysed, was trying to board the bus too. As the old man's movement is rather slow due to his disability, I would expect other people to have basic courtesy to allow the old man to board first. The same white collared a**h**e was completely oblivious to the old man and squeezed on board right in front of him. At this point, I was extremely disgusted with this guy.
So what if he is white collared class? So what if he earns a lot? So what if he dresses well? If he can't even have the basic sense to do what is right. It is really nothing much, just small things like picking up things for senior citizens or letting the disabled to board first. It's not like I'm asking you to donate a 100K for charity or what. There will be no hope for humanity if everybody behaves like this...
Morale of the post: Even if you are doing well and earning much, please have a heart and don't be too full of yourself? And if you are really too full of yourself, I really hope that you choke! Muahahahaha!
