His Broken Back, Now My Broken Stomach
As I was warned by my colleague that the food portions were rather large, we decided to order 2 dishes to share amongst ourselves. We ordered a Jumbo Combo made up of various sides like buffalo wings, spring rolls, huge onion rings and some other potato and fried sides, accompanied by 4 different dips. We also ordered a crabcake dish. Needless to say, it tasted crabby, a little too crabby for my liking actually! We each ordered a Cecil iced tea, which tasted good!
We chatted over dinner, and in less than an hour, my stomach started to act up. Went to the toilet twice and exploded big time in there. By the time I was done, I just wanted to go home, and that ended our night out.
Stomach was feeling better on Saturday morning (and flatter too!), and I met Pete for a breakfast of toasted bread at a coffeeshop in West Coast. We proceeded to purchase 3 more CD players from Sheng Shiong for my office before heading back to my place. We went for lunch with my mum and brother at the delicious chicken rice stall at Queenstown before dropping off the CD players at my office. The rest of the afternoon was spent lazing in front of the tv, with Pete nodding off while I watched an episode or so of the recorded channel 8 9pm show. I think the show is hilarious ha ha!
As my stomach still feels unstable (from my imagination or what, I don't really know anymore), we decided to hang out in my "safe haven" - Vivocity. Recently, am in the mood for some local Chinese songs ( 新谣 ). Went to the 2 CD shops in Vivo to look for them, but not much results. Had a light dinner of yong tau foo beehoon soup, but despite its lightness (did not finish it even!), I experienced some indigestion after the dinner :(
We caught "Horton" on Sunday, and we thought it was rather good and funny! It's a good movie to catch on a lazy Sunday afternoon :)
Lunch on Sunday was teriyaki chicken rice bowl from Yoshinoya (a safe option for my broken stomach), and dinner was at the Club with my mum, brother and Pete. Took the safer option of wanton noodles for dinner. Nevertheless, I continued experiencing the indigestion feeling after both meals. I think my stomach lining must have came out with all the puke on Friday night or something. The indigestion feeling continued after my meals on Monday, but now it's better. Am really cautious with what I eat now, and am eating lesser as well. My phobia of developing stomachaches has also increased, so much so that it's causing more stomachaches. All I can say is SOB! SOB! *wails*
Pete is starting to put me on a stringent diet of abundant fruits and light, soupy stuff. I guess such is my life...even milkshakes, ice-cream, cakes and other sweet treats do not entice me anymore. Oh well...
