Long Weekend...Aahhh....
I love long weekends, don't we all! This long weekend has been made longer by Pete and I taking leave on Thursday, a day before Good Friday. We ran errands, as well as enjoyed ourselves. The day started with breakfast at Macdonald's. I have been craving for sausage macmuffin for the longest time. Finally sunk my teeth into it on Thursday morning *chomp chomp* :D Pete has decided to become a student and go back to school again, so on Thursday, we made a trip down to NTU to get his certificate stamped and certified, as well as to request for his past transcripts. Felt a little weird to be walking amongst the young ones in the campus hahaha!
We headed down to Suntec City after NTU, and I did a little shopping. I won't really call it shopping though. Bought 2 tops (same top, different colours). I prefer to call it "replenishing basic utility tops". These are tops that are useful and easy to match with the stuff in one's wardrobe ;) On the other hand, shopping is when one purchases items that are a little different, like a new bag, new shoes, a new dress...Wahaha!
Bearing in mind my broken stomach, I had sweet potato soup for lunch, while Pete had a nice lunch of omelette fried rice with cabbage and sausages at the food court. Our next destination was K-Box, the reason why we decided to take leave in the first place: To sing to our hearts' content. And we did just that, spending about 4 hours singing and acting silly (Pete acting silly :P) I remembered the last leave we took was also spent singing. I think this will be a tradition we will try to uphold hahaha! Actually, it's quite an effective way of relieving stress. Dinner for me was soup with carrots, sweet corn and pork ribs. This was my third bowl of soup this week after my major explosion at Hard Rock Cafe last week. I must say, with all the light meals since the explosion, my tummy is so much flatter and I do not feel so bloated. I.....like it! :D
What's great about this weekend is that after Thursday, it's only Friday the next day. I can sleep in on Friday, and what's even greater was waking up to think: it feels like a Sunday, but it's not. It's not even Saturday! Being Good Friday, I attended mass with Pete and his parents. It's quite a wonder that I did not fall asleep at all heee... We went for an evening swim after that, and managed to cover 20 laps. Worked up some appetite, but settled on fish soup and sweet and sour fish with rice at the foodcourt in WestMall instead.
Today (Saturday) was a pure chill-out-at-home day, but...not till we had sausage macmuffin again! I was still craving for it, and Pete and I made a rush for it just on the dot of 11am! Pete brought along his old laptop, for he has decided to donate it to me. Yay! We spent the afternoon watching 2 episodes of the recorded Channel 8 9pm show, as well as surfing around on my new donated laptop. Managed to file our income tax returns, as well as book the tickets to watch Broadway Beng 3. Oh ya, we killed 2 cockroaches as well :S
Pete is out with his friends this evening, as I'm typing away on my new lappie :) Managed to catch up on some reading just now as well. To me, this has been quite a good long weekend. It's Sunday tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to meeting Summer, my colleague's dog tomorrow for lunch at Pawtobello Cafe. It will be my first time to a dog cafe, and I hope my stomach will behave herself. Well, am saving that for the next entry. So till then...ciao!
