Lord (and Lady) of the Rings

It has been a long time since our previous entry, all thanks to the F1 schedule for Singapore next year. It had caused plenty of headaches and extra work for the both of us. So much for preparing early. So moral of the story is that preparing for a wedding at the last minute is bad, preparing for a wedding 1 year in advance don't seem to have that many benefits either. :P

Anyway, our wedding bands were finally ready last Saturday. Originally, they were supposed to be ready in early July. However, due to my finger swelling up like a sausage incorrect ring size, they needed to re-do the ring for us, which took another 3 months. My ring size went from 17 to 19 in 2 months time. I didn't know ring size can increase so fast (although I can totally vouch for waistline increasing exponentially :P)

So 3 months later, here we are again to collect our wedding bands. The sales assistant then asked us,"So what do you want to engrave on your bands?" Ah mi and I were like "Hey, didn't we agree on something already?" We think, we thought, and we thunk. You can hear rusty gears in our head straining away, but we just cannot remember what we agreed on 3 months back.

Anyway, there is no rush as our wedding is still a long way to go, so we told the person that we will come back when we think of something. If it is something that we will forget, probably its not that good in the first place. :P

So here's the deal, we were like "What to engrave on our rings huh?"

My suggestions were as follows:

• Ah pong *heart* Ah mi & vice versa (too cheesy)
• From this moment [ROM date] (don't know if date will change again or not)
• I swear, by the moon and the stars in the sky... (infringe copyright law)
• If found, please return to [our mailing address] (got boxed by ah mi not appropriate)

So none of my suggestions worked. However, I happened to chance onto some potential ones online :D

And so, the quest for our inscription carries on, although I really like the one above and we will not rest til we think of THE inscription for our rings! *Cue Lord of the Rings music*
