Happy birthday ah mi!
Happy birthday ah mi!!
Was a bit distracted for the past 2 days, so only managed to get this post up today.
So how did we celebrate ah mi's birthday?
In the morning, i woke up earlier to go over her place hoping to surprise her at her bus stop when she is going for work. as my bus was approaching her stop, she smsed me to tell me that she got on her 1st bus le... so i was like "oh... okay..." pfffttt... :P
so the day went by like any other work day, and soon it was dinner time.. i made a reservation at secret garden but somehow mislead her to think i made a reservation at ma maisons. :D
so after meeting Karen, we slowly walked from city hall to bugis area. and when we turned into middle rd instead of going straight to bugis junction, ah mi was like "go secret garden huh?" wah! so smart leh!
when we got to the restaurant, it was almost empty except for a table of 3, who were finishing with their meal le.. we had to order from the counter (maybe thats y no service charge bah) and proceeded on to our seats, which we chose a window seat. we felt that the ambience could be better if the lights were a wee bit dimmer though..
anyway, I had the grilled cod while ah mi ordered the grilled chicken. and while waiting for the food to be served, its time for birthday present!
actually, the birthday present was just a teddy bear (called mimi) that we bought, and i'm supposed to dress mimi up.. so i had no choice but to show her my needlesmanship (is there even such a word?)
notice the little "handbag" mimi is carrying? turns out there is a bonus pressie! its a pair of lulu (more or less lookalike) earring (pls ask ah mi for more details on what or who is lulu) that i have spent months looking for it..
pls look at the earring, not the ugly mouth i drew on mimi :P
we waited for a little while more and the food finally arrived, we kinda exchanged looks when we saw the size of my cod fish.. for 28 bucks, it was quite pathetic.. hahahaha..

the food was quite good actually, just that its a little pricey for this portion..
but all in all, we had a great time there and i hope that ah mi had a happy birthday with me.. *hugs*
