Thursday Nite Vivo!

Met up with Cindy over dinner on Thursday night. We tried out this little French place at VivoCity. We ordered a quiche each and shared a tiramisu. Verdict: Quiche was too salty, tiramisu was so-so, although there are reviews about the latter being good.

After dinner, we were about to make our way to the supermarket when we noticed a crowd surrounding the escalators leading to the cinema. Not knowing what was going on, we actually hung around and waited. During the process, we saw a few Mediacorp artistes such as Zoe Tay (and husband), Felicia Chin, Pan Lingling, Qi Yuwu and a few others. We suspected that it was the gala premiere of the new movie, Red Cliff, and thought maybe we should hang around longer just in case the BIG celebrities turn up. And lo and behold, Lin Chiling came walking in first (after some time). But I think I was more excited when John Woo, the director himself turned up. Never expected to see a big-name director in person! Cindy managed to snap a few pictures, but alas, the side profile of John Woo was the best we could get of him.
