Somewhere Over The Rainbow...Is There A Pot Of Gold?

Took the train from work to visit our new place today in the midst of reno to take a look at our kitchen and bedroom cabinets . The train was horribly crowded, and I was feeling slightly down from thinking that I will have to travel in a sardine can to and from work daily in the future. Oh, how I will miss taking the good old bus.

Just when I had the chance to look out of the windows after most of the crowd alighted at the Jurong East station, I saw the most beautiful rainbow. It looked like the kind that CareBears slide down from.

I cheered up a little. Maybe Sunshine Bear slid down the rainbow.

Bat cave no more!

Renovation started lo~ And when the lights are installed, our little mummified bat finally dropped from the wiring onto the floor.

Gross huh? Imagine we had to deal with a live one a few months back~

Anyway, renovation of our place is going very well~

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to one and all! Although Pete and I do not really celebrate V Day, I made him a bear this year, as I joined 2 of my colleagues for a teddy bear making workshop last Saturday. It was a little stressful, I must say, as I am not very good with handicraft. After a night of "hard work" this week, I was able to present him with a fully clothed bear today, a far cry from when I left the workshop last Saturday. It is a bear with many imperfections, but am glad Pete likes it :)

Nope, not MIA yet

Hi all,

Just realized that it has been a long long time since our last update. I was going to blog on Yinghao's wedding that took place on the 4th of Jan. However, due to the lack of photos, I decided to procrastinate, then dragged and dragged til now. (by the way, I still don't have the photos yet, so that entry will have to wait)

From my last published entry til now, there was quite a lot of things happening. Chinese New Year came and went, started and more or less completed our flat design, started renovation, and started buying stuff for our new home.

As you can see, the focus of new year til now is our home, which is coming along very well since the renovation started this Monday. Without failing our expectation, Loyd came up with a fantastic design for our country themed home and we are very much excited about it. Can't wait for it to be completed~

However, we do also expect a lot of comments like "Aiyoh, how come so white?", "Aiyoh, nice meh?" and "Wah, think they will clean until siao ah". Well, we have thought of that already, and we still want to go with it so that's that, okay? With this, you should have a good idea on what is the main color of our home already. Am still working with Loyd on how to break in some other color while still maintaining the nice feel of the place.

Now we realize why people say that owning a home ain't cheap.. Cos it really ain't cheap! After renovation, there is still the furnitures and the appliances. All I can say is that right now, our money is flowing like water, but luckily, it's for something very worthwhile~

So if anyone of you guys wana sponsor us some stuff for our new home, please don't be shy hor! We gladly accept Cash, Nets, and all major creditcards! Wahahaha!

Anyway, here is a preview of our new place for you~

Like I said, can't wait to see the renovation works completed~ :D
