Weekend Brought To You By The Letter "P"

Last weekend was a "P" weekend:

On Saturday, Pete tried out the Pancake mix from the supermarket, and we had pancakes for breakfast. Some turned out looking like roti prata, while others looked decent enough. Spread them with some syrup and butter, and they were good to go:

For dinner, we attempted Pumpkin soup. Pete's parents dropped by for a while, and managed to try the soup, and we were given the thumbs up (or rather I feel it was a thumbs up when they said it was not bad haha!). Dinner was pumpkin soup with bread, and some carrot cake that Pete's parents bought over:

On Sunday, we had a Photo-taking session at a studio in Jurong, where we had a family portrait taken with Pete's family. I must say, it felt like more hard work as compared to our wedding photoshoot. It was definitely no easy task to get 7 people smiling and sitting/standing right. I am sure we will all look prim and proper when the photo is ready, but underneath Pete's graduation regalia, ermmm....were his signature berms:

Weekends are so much better now that we do not have to fret over guest lists, seating arrangements, and other wedding blah blahs ;-)

Btw hor, I wanted to give you the fruit design plate coz' I had so many of it when I changed my dining set to Corelle. Where did u get yours from?

Haha, my MIL also wants to take family portrait...she is so into this kind of thing. If it ever happens, mine will be even more difficult, since we have two babies :P

Got my plate from my mom. she had boxes and sets of it stashed away in the store room and she took them out and gave me several pieces. I even have the canisters which are sitting in my kitchen cabinets now. My cutlery also from the same set!

ya...i can't imagine taking a family portrait with 2 babies. it's challenging enough getting 1 baby to even look at the camera!
