Yes, We Are Still Alive!

It has been some time since our blog was updated. We find ourselves with more things to do, plan, organise, and worry over as the wedding day draws nearer. Another 2 months or so...time sure flies! Here is a list of what we have been up to, and what is to come:

Added: Pete's comments in red

What we have been up to

- Celebrated my brother's 21st birthday last month

- Met up with our photographer to select the photos for our wedding album, which is work-in-progress

- I woke up one morning to find that I have developed an allergic reaction to...I'm still not sure what, but it caused my eyes to swell, and then tear for a week could be allergic to me leh.. how?

- I suffered from a side effect from the medication (steroids) that were prescribed by the doc for the swollen eyes, and felt all puffy and tender for almost a week (water retention)

- Pete started on root canal for his tooth Ouch! feeling the pinch in both the mouth and wallet. :(

- Jewellery shopping with my mum for the wedding

- Started collating our guest lists for the wedding lunch (painful process which will last till September)

- Pete's parents and a matchmaker visited us for the 提 亲 session over the weekend, where the items and gifts to be exchanged between the groom and bride's side of the family were discussed lots of awkward silence, am very glad its over. one tradition chinese customs down, alot more traditional chinese customs to go..

- Pete gave our new place and furniture a good vacuum and steam over the weekend as we think my allergic reaction should be caused by the dust at our place (and boy did our new machine suck up lots!) and its a very good exercise for me, can feel my abs ( 1 big pack) aching this morning. oh, and i only vacuumed the carpet, the sofas and the guest room bed, and the amount of dust (and hairball) was incredible~ :S

What's to come for the next few weeks

- Visiting the florists this week to select our theme for the flower decor for the ballroom i'm sure my expert opinion in flowers will come in handy. :P

- Doing non-wedding related activities. A birthday and a housewarming party is on the schedule, and making plans to catch a play/musical this week I really appreciate the non-wedding related activities now..

- Food tasting at the end of the month

- Shopping with mum and aunt for the 过大礼 and wedding items (all those red red stuff)

- 过大礼 (exchange of gifts/items between the groom and bride's side of the family) at the start of next month

- Start (at least for me) of the serious planning of the wedding. time to kill some braincells (and hoping not to kill myself in the process)

Actually the list goes on, but maybe hopefully by then one of us would have updated :-)

Till then...for some of you who were asking about the lack of updates, we hope the list above can keep you informed for a while haha ;-)
