Fruitful Long Weekend

It was the long awaited National Day long weekend. I felt much was accomplished over this weekend:

1) Packed and cleared some of my stuff sitting in the study room

2) Went with mom and aunt to finalise mom's dress for the wedding banquet

3) Went with Pete's parents to purchase cloth (for making his mom's pants), as well as shoes which she will be wearing for the wedding banquet

4) Caught the animation movie "UP" on Saturday night at Jurong Point

5) Attended a family lunch gathering organised by my aunt on Sunday

6) Worked on the wedding programme, check lists, task lists, a little on the guest lists, as well as photo selection for developing

7) Watched the movie "The Hangover" late Sunday night

8) Last but not least, Pete worked really hard on the wedding montage, and managed to complete half of it over the weekend as well :-)

We collected our wedding album and photos this week:

Pete's favourite shot of all
Will upload a few others on Facebook, till then.....ciao ;-)

过大礼

We had our 过大礼 on Sunday, and we think .....everything went pretty smoothly....or rather, for the most part of it haha. My relatives came by for the session, and a few of my more experienced aunts communicated with the match-maker over the exchange of the gifts.

It was a pretty long day after everyone left, as my parents and I had to travel around to some of our older relatives' homes to distribute the 喜喜饼 (wedding cakes and candies). Managed to take only a few pictures of that day:

Part of the items that my family prepared for the match-maker to bring over to our new place

We are glad that this part of the wedding preparations are over, as it was quite a headache with all the rushing around to prepare the items, and making sure we have met the "standards" and expectations of both families, as well as relatives.

As for now, we can get back to our other wedding preparations...
