End of a long long weekend
Finally my long weekend is over. i think that its the longest break i had since i started working neh! too bad i was sick throughout the long weekend, which kinda suck. anyway, here's the summary of my hols.
Wed - Met an old young friend ( or is it young old friend?) of mine at orchard. was hopelessly lost in there. luckily my fren navigates damn well there. tried looking for my woodcarving materials at the ArtFriends in taka, but no have. :( anyway good to see her after such a long time (3 years i tink)
VERDICT: Well spent day
Thurs - Dragged Mr A out for lunch to meet another old friend of mine. after lunch, i dragged him down to Bras Basah to continue my search for materials. Found my wood there but frigging expensive. 1 piece of small wood(balsa) cost 6 bucks!?! bought it anyway, and a set of brand new carving knife. damage was 12 bucks in all. :( carried to meet Mr H at usual haunt (PS) and formed the Brotherhood of L there.
VERDICT: Quite productive day
Friday - My sore throat getting worse and my CO (dad) dragged me and my bros out to do area cleaning at the canteen. i "attend B" oso cannot siam loh, sianz man. anyway, more hands make the work lighter lah. and its quite true oso, we finished the work in like 2 hours, where normally it would have taken 4~5 hours. After that was church (its Good Friday lah), which ended half an hour earlier than i expected (i tot it's going to be 2 hours) and the day finished with a winning eleven (WE9) tournament with my bros. needless to say, they got trashed... muahahaha..
VERDICT: Not too bad, sickness taking its toll
Sat - Finally go and see the doc liao. he say i got wat chim chim thing which i tink means a sore throat lah. anyway got plenty of medicine to kill the virus. the medicine caused drowsiness which caused me to slip in and out of sleep, and feeling damn weak for the whole day. lesson learnt for the day, never do wood carving when u are feeling drowsy, u never know when ur finger will get sliced. ;P anyway got the basic shape of the wood out already~ balsa wood is great for wood carving!!
VERDICT: Sleepy and weak.
Sun - Still sleepy and weak. Basically spent the whole day either sleeping or walking around like a zombie. the medicine too power liao lah... worked abit on carving also, no casualties this time~
VERDICT: Boring!!
Anyway, thats my long weekend la. Overall i would say its not too bad la, 2 days well spent, 2 days nua. would be better if i was not sick. heh
